Prenatal Care
Prenatal consultations are performed by an experienced team of French and Vietnamese obstetricians in our comfortable consultation rooms. FV Hospital’s prenatal services have been developed to ensure the security of your pregnancy from beginning to end. Detailed foetal ultrasounds and regular biological studies conducted over the duration of your pregnancy allow obstetricians to evaluate you and your baby’s progress and detect most abnormalities at an early stage.
The Voluson 730 GE is the most advanced ultrasound system for obstetrics and gynaecology. For obstetrics it allows parents to see their baby in three dimensions and to see him moving in the womb. From a doctor's perspective this equipment is the best one to detect any abnormality. The power of the Voluson 730 series is its quality imaging capabilities, providing doctors the extraordinary vision needed to easily diagnose patients earlier and with increased confidence, particularly a variety of fetal anomalies such as cleft lip and palate, spina bifida, club foot and trisomy 21.
Our obstetricians encourage women to have spontaneous vaginal delivery, but scheduled caesarean delivery (c-sections) can also be arranged. During the last few months of pregnancy, the expecting mother will receive - along with her regular check-ups – special training courses in easy delivery. This includes physical exercises for pregnant women, how to recognize delivery pain, breathing methods for delivery exertions, painless delivery methods, etc, all in preparation for a spontaneous vaginal delivery.

Having a baby is easily one of the most intensely personal events in a woman’s life. No amount of preparation seems enough, so only the best care is what you can expect when delivering at FV Hospital. Before birth, there will be monthly check-ups and childbirth education courses to help you and your family prepare for your baby’s birth.
Our delivery rooms combine the most advanced equipment in comforting environment of ambient light and soothing music. Should you prefer, instead of music there’s the option of listening to the monitored heartbeat of your baby.
And, to ensure a painless delivery, we always recommend an epidural anaesthesia. In the event that a caesarean section is required, our operating theatres are in close proximity to the delivery rooms.

Paediatric Care
Integral to the FV Delivery team is an experienced paediatrician, who will be in attendance throughout delivery and will be ready to assist in case of premature deliveries or complications. The paediatrician will examine your baby upon delivery and monitor his or her progress in the first days of life.
For babies born prematurely and for those who are in need of specialised care, the FV Hospital boosts one of the best neonatal intensive care unit in South-East Asia.
Recovery
Our comprehensive delivery package includes a 4-night hospitalization in our spacious 5th-floor Maternity Ward. We provide you with a bedside cradle, so you can remain close to your baby in the days following delivery. Alternatively, the baby can be cared for in our nursery should the mother need a restful night. A diaper changing table is also provided for your convenience. Our skilled midwives and maternity nurses will be happy to give you instruction in breast feeding and new-born care, to help make your adjustment to being a new mother as easy as possible.
Once the baby is born, you can welcome your new-born and your family in our large, beautiful rooms that are designed for comfort and convenience. Plus, you will be aided by our team of specially trained nurses who provided personalized attention for continuity of care and support, for example, bathing, feeding and lulling the baby to sleep, so mothers have more time to rest or do their recovery exercises.
