Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death both in Vietnam and worldwide, the number of new cases in Vietnam, particularly in urban areas, is on the rise. Already the wealthier lifestyle being experienced in Vietnam has lead to a surge in cardio-vascular conditions. Contributing factors, such as a less active, more sedentary leisure time and less healthy dietary choices, if unchecked, lead to hypertension and heart attacks. Tobacco usage - which continues to be on the rise – is the largest contributing factor to cardio-vascular complications in Vietnam.

FV Hospital has established a state-of-the-art Cardiology Department to provide advanced cardiac diagnosis using a comprehensive approach, ranging from prevention and early detection to diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

For cases requiring cardiac surgery, or for the more complicated cases, which we cannot at present perform, FV Hospital has a partnership agreement with the National Heart Centre in Singapore (www.nhc.com.sg) by which such referred cases are put in their care for treatment.  Additionally, once a month, a Cardiologist from the National Heart Centre in Singapore is in attendance at the FV Cardiology Department for consultations with our patients.
