In keeping with our mission of making all the benefits of international quality healthcare accessible to the people of Vietnam, our pricing has been carefully analysed and adjusted accordingly to reflect the economic realities of Vietnam, and, to make our services affordable for as many people as possible.
We do not implement a dual pricing system. Our fees are consistent, regardless of the nationality of patient or doctor.
On an outpatient basis, FV Hospital provides a wide range of services. Separate charges apply for each service within the Out-Patient Department, including consultations, radiology, lab tests and medication. However, we implement a transparent pricing system, so your doctor can advise you of the cost of all healthcare services up front and keep you updated regarding the status of your total bill.

Pricing policy
In order to remain affordable to the majority of our patients (mostly Vietnamese), who do not have medical insurance and need to plane for their healthcare expenses, we have developed a special low pricing policy with discounted and packaged prices. This is applicable only to non-insured patients (and those insured by Vietnamese insurance companies, as we support the development of health insurance products in Vietnam); but, it cannot be applied to patients having medical insurance provided by international insurance companies, whether or not, these companies have a direct billing agreement with us.
During your visit to FVH, receptionists, medical secretaries, doctors, insurance officers and/or cashiers shall ask you if you have an insurance policy and the type of coverage it provides (IPD only, OPD expenses, exclusions etc). Thank you for providing us with this information. If we do not have, as yet, a direct billing agreement with your insurance company, we will contact them to establish such an agreement, to provide you with better service. With your support and understanding, FVH will continue to provide international standard quality healthcare for all those who require it.

What is Package pricing?
FV Hospital provides a package pricing system in order to minimise and simplify our patients’ surgical and maternity charges. Each package has a carefully calculated fixed price, which is inclusive of doctor fees, nursing care, standard medications, operating theatre time, anaesthesia, hospitalisation fees for a semi-private room and other charges related to your stay.
In order to keep our packages as affordable as possible, all prices have been calculated according to the requirements of standard surgical procedures and average recovery times. Complications that may lead to additional treatments, procedures, investigations, medications or extended hospitalisation are not included in the packages.
Special package pricing is extended only to patients paying for themselves and does not apply to patients covered by health insurance. No discount of any kind can be applied to package prices, and, all prices are subject to change without prior notice.

- Dressings, treatments and investigations prescribed after discharge, including those prescribed during the complimentary post-operative consultation
Change of package
Your attending physician will prescribe a package based on your initial diagnosis. This diagnosis may be modified during surgery or according to findings of specific investigations. In these cases, your package may no longer apply and may be replaced with another package suitable to the revised diagnosis.
Patient eligibility
Please note that packages are only applicable for non-insured patients and for elective, uncomplicated patients. Eligibility for each package will be evaluated by the attending physician on a case-by-case basis. Patients with underlying diseases - such as uncontrolled diabetes, severe hypertension, renal/vital organ failure, immuno-suppressive dysfunction and bleeding disorders - will not qualify for packages.

Payment policy
The payment policy at FVH is straightforward and transparent. All payments by patients should only be made against an official FV Hospital invoice and paid direct to the cashier at the official Cashier Points. A receipt is always available upon request.
It is strictly forbidden for any staff member, medical or non-medical, other than a cashier to receive payment from a patient or the patient’s family.
If you are asked to make an ad-hoc payment without an invoice by any staff member, or if you are in any doubt about the validity of any payment you are requested to make, then please contact the Customer Service manager (internal extension 7700, the office in the Main Lobby, Mobile ((84-8) 09 08 36 81 22) or any other senior manager, so that we can resolve the situation.
