Children visiting
For reasons of security and hygiene, we ask that no children under the age of 14 be allowed to visit, except in special circumstances. Please speak with the Head Nurse or Team Leader for clarification in these cases.
Overnight Guests
As a private hospital, our philosophy is to take care of all of our patients' needs. Your family can rest assured that you are in good hands and receiving the best care: every patient is provided with 24-hour nursing service and three delicious and nourishing meals a day.
FV Hospital allows one overnight visitor per patient, in single rooms only. However, we do not allow overnight guests in double rooms, for the safety and comfort of both patients.
An additional charge per night will be made for this service, in single rooms (which includes breakfast in our 1st floor cafeteria). For children under 14 years old who are hospitalized, an overnight visitor can stay free of charge in the room (no extra overnight pass can be purchased, in this case).
Click here to find out how to purchase an overnight pass.
- Firstly, ask your nurse for an authorization for an overnight pass – this form must be signed by you, your guest and our staff
- Then to purchase the overnight pass, go to the Main Cashier in the Lobby, before 19:00 (after 19:00, please see the Accident & Emergency Department Cashier) Present your pass to the ward staff, who will issue a folding bed and a linen set for the night for your guest
- The guest bed will be retrieved at 06:30 the following morning, before the doctor’s rounds begin. These beds may not stay in the patient’s room during the day as they would impede normal hospital duties
- Your guest is invited to show the overnight pass at the cafeteria for breakfast (between 07:30–10:00 hours) – though it is only for use on the morning after the date shown.

If your guest would prefer to stay in a hotel, please ask the ward staff for a list of hotels available in the area.

Receiving Information About the Patient
Relatives can telephone at any time of the day, or night, for information about the patient. However, we can only give very basic details about the state of the patient over the phone, due to patient confidentiality, unless the patient has specified otherwise.
During visiting times, the nursing and medical team are available to give you information and answer your questions. If you would like to meet with the doctor, we will arrange an appointment.
