FV HOSPITAL IMPLEMENTS A COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAMME FOR CHILDREN WITHIN THE FRENCH COMMUNITY AGED 12-17 YEARS OLD
On October 22nd, 2021, FV Hospital will open the registration portal for COVID-19 vaccination at FV Hospital’s website for children aged between 12 and 17 years old within the French community. The main recipients in this programme include children who are French citizens and the students of the Lycée Français International Marguerite Duras.
This programme is organised by the French Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City for French citizens and their relatives living in the South of Vietnam. The previous component of this program targeted more than 5,000 people aged 18 years and older living in many different provinces in the South of Vietnam, each of whom was offered two vaccination doses.
When registering their child, parents and guardians will need to provide the necessary documents as required by the French Consulate, which may include birth certificate, copy of the child’s passport and a vaccine consent form, signed by the parent. A death certificate or divorce certificate may also be required in some special cases.
FV Hospital will contact each registrant with the details of their vaccination appointment. In some cases, it will take some time to arrange a safe, convenient vaccination session, leading to delays in vaccination announcements. Please wait for the notice from FV and do not make multiple registrations for the same individual. Additionally, parents can preview the documentation for the vaccine used in this round of immunisations, the Moderna vaccine, to decide whether to approve immunisation for their child.
Just as with previous vaccinations in the programme, the vaccines will be provided by the French Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City under license by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. FV will store vaccines and conduct vaccination procedures at the Hospital.
