On July 5th, FV Hospital, in collaboration with the Women’s Union and the Communist Youth Union of Vung Tau City, successfully conducted the public seminar “Sexual and reproductive healthcare and modern methods in treatment of gynaecological disorders”. The programme attracted more than 300 participants, including union members and representatives from other organisations.

During the seminar, Vo Trieu Dat, MD, MSc, Deputy Head of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology—Breast Care Clinic at FV Hospital, provided sexual and reproductive healthcare consultations, shared information, and answered participants’ questions regarding sexual health. Additionally, the doctor helped everyone gain a better understanding of the role, benefits, and important considerations in reproductive healthcare.

Dr Vo Trieu Dat emphasises that “Sexual and reproductive healthcare brings physical wellbeing and mental comfort, and supports the building of relationships within society.” During the presentation, Dr Dat discussed important topics such as: safe practices when making decisions about pregnancy, effectively implementing family planning, regularly screening for gynaecological disorders, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dr Dat introduced advanced techniques in the treatment of gynaecological disorders that FV Hospital’s professional, experienced doctors are currently applying at the Obstetrics & Gynaecology–Breast Care Clinic Department. Moreover, with strong investment from FV Hospital, this unit has become a reliable place that provides comprehensive, quality care for women in all stages of life.

Throughout the programme, Dr Dat referenced the QRS®-PelviCentre system, a pelvic floor muscle training system based on magnetic field therapy which FV was the first institution in Vietnam to apply. This system is an advanced, ground-breaking method for treating issues related to the pelvic region and reproductive health, such as: urinary & faecal incontinence (nocturia and urinary urgency); men with weak pelvic floor muscles who suffer from a weak erection, premature ejaculation and decrease in ejaculatory force; women suffer from lack of strength in the vaginal muscles and reduced blood flow to the genital area; and lower back pain.

FV Hospital aims to establish a Pelvic Care Centre soon to improve the quality of reproductive health care services and enhance the quality of life for women.

Similar to many previous social activities, this public seminar also demonstrates FV Hospital’s desire to contribute to the community’s health. It is hoped that FV’s contribution to this programme have helped the community gain accurate information about reproductive health and the treatment of gynaecological disorders. This can contribute to raising general awareness of care and ensuring health rights for everyone.
