Clinical Psychology concerns the diagnosis and treatment of personality and behavioural disorders. Such disorders can be caused by a diverse range of reasons, such as difficulties in family or professional life, or emotional challenges from tragic incidents.

FV Hospital’s psychologists offer personalised counselling adapted to a patient’s needs, age, and the context of their consultation.  By listening to patients’ difficulties and suffering, psychologists are able to offer them a space where they can express themselves without judgement and in complete confidence. Through these consultations, they focus on helping patients obtain a clearer understanding of their problems, reducing their distress and improving their psychological wellbeing.

The Clinical Psychology Department is located on the ground floor in the Health Check-up Centre in FV Hospital.

Services for children – 0 to 12 years old

Depending on the age of the child, FV’s psychologists use specific methods which are adapted to the age and sensitivity of the individual to facilitate the expression of a child’s difficulties. These may include drawing, modelling, or the staging of small characters.

The first meeting with a child patient is done in the presence of the child’s parents, which allows them to better understand the child’s condition and treatment. Thereafter, the child attends consultation alone. The parents are continuously informed about the progress of the treatment and, to give them assistance and guidance, joint sessions with their child are provided if necessary.
