On 31st March, FV Hospital held a graduation ceremony for the “Clinical Practice instructing programme for medical doctors – Batch 2”. This marks an important milestone in the development of nine young doctors after a year of dedicated training in an international-standard healthcare environment.
The programme is designed in accordance with the framework of the Department of Health for newly graduated general practitioners who have not yet obtained their practising licence. Over 12 months, participants rotate across key specialties, including three months of intensive training in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. This helps them build strong clinical skills and confidence when managing critical cases. Upon completion, the doctors are eligible to apply for a practising licence from the Department of Health.
Training in an International-Standard Healthcare Environment
The second batch welcomed nine outstanding young doctors from leading medical universities. To support their learning, FV Hospital provided full scholarships along with living allowances throughout the programme.

Beyond clinical practice, the programme places strong emphasis on medical ethics, professional standards, and a patient-centred approach.
With the dedicated guidance of more than 40 experts, including doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals at FV, as well as visiting lecturers, participants have developed solid multidisciplinary thinking and a professional working style.

A pioneering private hospital in medical training
FV Hospital is the first private hospital in Vietnam to directly participate in the training of medical practitioners
Medical education has been a key responsibility alongside clinical care at FV Hospital. Over the years, FV has collaborated with medical universities in Vietnam and internationally to train students, nurses, and pharmacists, as well as to deliver Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes.
In 2024, after being approved by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health as a qualified training institution for clinical practice leading to medical licensing, FV officially became the first private hospital in Vietnam to take part directly in training medical practitioners. This contributes to developing a high-quality healthcare workforce for the country.
