General Job Description
- The Optometrist examine patients’ eyes, test their sight and recognise disease of the eyes before referral to Ophthalmologist for further treatment.
- Measure refractive index for patient with vision problem or for general check-up program (including objective and subjective refraction eye test)
- Measure refractive index for patient with ORTHO-K treatment and patient with regard to fitting spectacles, changing spectacles, contact lenses.
- Do Ortho-K fitting. Guide patients how to clean and care for Ortho-K, how to insert and remove the Ortho-K lens.
- Do fitting, dispending and prescribe soft contact lens.
- Test the laser machine before surgery
- Clean and maintain the equipment ensuring PPM is done accordingly
- Screening, monitor, analyze, diagnose refractive errors and binocular vision disorders, restore visual impairment, and common eye diseases
- Diagnose and detect of binocular vision abnormalities using optical correction methods, prisms, and vision therapy
- Early diagnose and detect eye complications due to refractive errors and referral to ophthalmologists
- Diagnose and rehabilitate visual impairment using optical and non-optical devices and vision therapy
- Perform eye examination techniques: Examine the anterior segment, posterior segment, retina, detect eye disease abnormalities and refer to ophthalmologists
- Perform initial first aid, emergency care for eye injuries, eye burns, complications when using eye medications and refer to ophthalmologist
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists to examine and perform paraclinical tests to detect vitreous – retinal diseases and glaucoma
- Examine, detect cataracts and refer to ophthalmologist for treatment; prescribe glasses after cataract surgery
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Optometry
- Practice license

- Good Interpersonal skill.
- Clear-cut communication.
Foreign language
- English fluently.
