Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the early days of the New Year, FV Family Day 2026 unfolded as a vivid and colourful tapestry – where appreciation and a strong sense of togetherness came together, creating a memorable evening for more than 2,000 FV members and their families.
A Colourful Start to 2026
From the very first moments, the programme transported audiences into a space rich in Vietnamese traditions, yet equally dynamic and engaging, with a series of cultural activities and traditional folk games taking place from 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, the gala night featured artistic performances blending contemporary dance styles with cultural elements from the North, Central, and Southern regions of Vietnam, alongside auspicious New Year rituals and lion and dragon dances. Together, these performances led audiences on an emotional journey, marking the beginning of a peaceful and hopeful new year for the FV Family.

Amid an atmosphere filled with joy and celebration, Dr Malvin Heng – Group CEO of Thomson Medical Group delivered the opening remarks of the gala night: “I am delighted to be here. Similar to Thomson Medical Group, the family spirit at FV fosters a strong sense of unity. This will certainly help us stay connected and go further together.” He also extended his New Year wishes to all FV staff members and their families, while expressing his sincere appreciation for the unwavering efforts and dedication demonstrated by the FV team over the years.

Similarly, in his address, Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon, CEO of FV Hospital emphasised a people-centred approach, highlighting the hospital’s workforce as the solid foundation for sustainable development. Messages of companionship and trust in the strength of the FV family served as a source of inspiration, bringing all members of the FV community closer together.

“After more than 20 years of ups and downs, the most wonderful thing is that we are still here together”
One of the most touching moments of the programme was the sharing session featuring the “FV Legacy” members – where the quiet yet meaningful stories of colleagues who have dedicated more than 20 years to the hospital were shared with deep respect and appreciation. Ms Nguyen Thi Le Thu, Director of Marketing & Business Development, moderated the conversation with six team members who have each spent over two decades at FV, bringing forward heartfelt and inspiring reflections. “After all these years, sometimes our successes and setbacks with the hospital matter less than the fact that we are still here together, seeing one another just as we did in the early days,” Ms Le Thu shared.

Continuous rounds of applause filled the hall as the representatives – standing for 130 colleagues who have devoted their youth, passion, and commitment to FV – took to the stage alongside Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon. This moment reflected not merely loyalty to a workplace, but, as Ms Tra My shared, “a trust in our leader – Dr Jean-Marcel – as well as deep affection for our colleagues, who have come to see one another as family.”

In particular, the tribute honouring the CEO’s 25-year journey of leadership and dedication left a deeply memorable impression on attendees. During his speech, Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon was moved to tears as he reflected on a quarter-century of building and developing FV. “I never imagined that after so many years, there would still be so many familiar faces who have walked alongside me since the very beginning,” Dr Jean-Marcel said emotionally.

Alongside this, as part of a cherished tradition, the “Shining star of the Year” Award honoured outstanding individuals who not only excel in their professional roles but also radiate positive energy, becoming true highlights within the greater FV Family. Each name announced represented a spirit of dedication and continuous effort. This year, the FV Star of the Year 2025 was awarded to Mr Tran Huu Vinh, a familiar and well-loved figure among FV members for his role in organising and connecting colleagues through internal hospital events.

A Modern Touch Within FV’s Traditional Cultural Spirit
Just as FV integrates modern healthcare practices from around the world with the expertise of Vietnamese medical professionals, this year’s stage performances also brought a contemporary spirit to programmes that vividly celebrated Vietnamese culture. From the gentle melodies of Northern Vietnam, the heartfelt flow of Central Vietnam’s rivers, to the powerful and untamed breath of the Central Highlands, and the deep, soulful emotions of the Mekong Delta – each performance offered a cultural snapshot, reflecting the diversity, unity, and pride of the greater FV Family.

One of the most anticipated and well-loved highlights of FV’s year-end celebrations is the lucky draw, which brings moments of excitement and surprise to all guests. This year introduced several unique elements, as the grand prize announcement was carried out by members of the Board of Directors together with Dr Malvin Heng, through a traditional Vietnamese fortune drawing ritual. Adding to the charm of the moment, many of the lucky winners were children, delivering a joyful “message of good fortune” to FV at the very beginning of the new year.

The “grand artistic feast” reached new heights with the appearance of guest singer Phuong Vy (Vietnam Idol Season 1 Winner), whose vibrant melodies energised the atmosphere and brought everyone together through shared emotions.

merely a workplace – it is a place where many have grown, shared meaningful moments, and continue to move forward together towards a brighter future.
