On 11 April 2026, the Pain Clinic at FV Hospital successfully organised a symposium titled “Advanced Chronic Pain Management – Insights from the World”. The event was both an important academic forum and a key milestone, bringing advanced pain treatment techniques to Vietnam for the first time.

Hands-on Workshop: Racz® Catheter Technique
In the afternoon, the conference featured a live hands-on workshop on two cases of Failed Back Surgery Syndrome.

First Time in Vietnam: Racz® Catheter Technique for the Treatment of Postoperative Spine Pain
For the first time in Vietnam, the Racz® Catheter technique for epidural neurolysis was demonstrated. This minimally invasive procedure involves inserting a small catheter into the epidural space to remove scar tissue and relieve pain. The procedure was performed by Dr Christophe Perruchoud alongside the FV Pain Clinic team.
The entire live case demonstration was broadcast to hundreds of doctors in Ho Chi Minh City and neighbouring provinces, providing a valuable learning experience.
Strategy and Vision in Pain Management
The symposium clearly demonstrated FV’s leading position in the field of Pain Management – a specialty that requires both advanced expertise and patient-centred care:
- Personalised Treatment: Beyond medication, FV aims to optimise functional preservation and enhance the quality of life for every patient.
- Continuous training: FV’s pain specialists frequently undergo training abroad to ensure every technique implemented meets international benchmarks.
- International collaboration: The presence of experts from Switzerland and France confirms FV’s role as a “bridge,” bringing global medical excellence to the Vietnamese people.
