Thank you, Doctors, for an unforgettable 2021

The year 2021 has passed, leaving everyone with many unforgettable memories and stories. It seemed that 2020 had brought limits to Vietnam’s health sector, but we had to face an unimaginable situation in the last six months of 2021. This reminded us of the efforts and sacrifices of people working in the medical sector, especially doctors.

On the 67th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day on 27th February, FV Hospital wishes all doctors and everyone working in the medical field, good health, success, joy, and the trust of our patients in this noble career path.

Closing a turbulent year, FV would also like to express its deepest gratitude to the medical team at the hospital. With the great cooperation of our doctors, FV has successfully treated over 300 COVID-19 inpatients at all three care levels (mild, moderate, and severe). The success rate of COVID-19 treatment at FV reached 73%. During the period of three months from July to September 2021, along with the COVID-19 treatment department, other specialties were still maintained in a model known as a split hospital. This allowed us to still receive and handle urgent cases (cardiovascular intervention, stroke, traumatic brain injury, etc.), and perform surgery to save lives and improve quality of life for patients, even in situations where the patient is at risk of getting SARS-COV-2.

One of the biggest difficulties for the doctors at FV last year was ensuring “not to refuse any patients” as a request from the CEO – Dr Jean-Marcel Guillon. They need to comply with the quality standards of treatment and patient safety prescribed by the JCI organisation, even when facing the large COVID-19 outbreak. However, with the passion for the job and tireless efforts, the team of doctors at FV successfully performed their professional mission and the mission assigned by the hospital.

As the philosopher Seneca once said “People pay the doctor for his trouble; for his kindness, they remain in his debt “, the work of doctors brings joy to people’s lives and brings values to them also. It is the noblest thing that a job can bring into a person’s life.

Once again, FV Hospital would like to thank and congratulate the doctors and nurses on the occasion of Vietnam Doctors’ Day.
