Before participation in any sport, it is recommended that any professional or amateur athlete undergo a pre-participation physical evaluation (PPE). PPE helps in detecting serious conditions and provides strategies to prevent injuries. PPE should occur around 6 weeks before activity to allow for further evaluation or treatment if needed.
