Awards Ceremony For The Painting Programme: Give A Child A Chance In Life

It’s time to reveal the results of the “Give A Child A Chance In Life” children’s drawing programme! Over the last three months, nearly 40 children of different ages have collectively submitted almost 100 entries.

Which paintings will win a cash prize? Which young artists’ works will be featured in FV’s 2019 calendar? All will be revealed at the “Give A Child A Chance In Life” awards ceremony at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 10th, 2018, on the ground floor of V Building, FV Hospital, No. 6 Nguyen Luong Bang street, Tan Phu, District 7, HCMC.

Judges include Director of the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thu, painter Le Thanh, representative of Thanh Nien Newspaper Ms. Tran Phuoc Duc Thang and other members of the media, along with young artists and their family members.

Prizes will be awarded, as follows:

  • One first prize – VND 2 million
  • Two second prizes – VND 1,500,000/prize
  • Three third prizes – VND 1,000,000/prize
  • Four fourth prizes – VND 500,000/prize.

In addition, the 12 artworks selected to appear in FV’s 2019 Calendar will also be announced. The artists will received royalties when FV publishes their work.

From October 22, 2018, to December 31, 2018, all works will be put up for auction at the Exhibition Hall at the ground floor of F Building, FV Hospital, so that visitors can bid for their favourites. Fifty per cent of the winning bid for each painting will be donated to the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund to support underprivileged children with disabilities undergo treatment; the remaining 50 per cent will be given directly to the artist.

The “Give A Child A Chance In Life” painting programme has been an exciting, meaningful way for children to express their creative spirit and passion for painting, and demonstrate compassion for their less fortunate peers.
