Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund Organizes Children’s Drawing Charity Auction With Angels in COVID-19 Epidemic Theme

“Mum, mum, I see!

The angels have appeared

to beat COVID-19

and give people peace.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has been seen throughout the world, and through many children’s eyes, the virus has been labelled as a monster and those who dedicate their time to defeat the disease as angels. Following the theme “Angels in Covid-19 epidemic”, many children, with their innocent yet in some ways apt perspective, have taken their ideas to paper as part of the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund’s recent charity auction. All the pieces of the children’s art are now displayed at FV Hospital and are up for auction.

This year, following the government’s social isolation policy, all drawings were carried out by the children at their own home. Having exposure to information about the disease and prevention activities through television, newspapers and from their parents, the images the children drew of doctors, nurses, and medical staff, helping the community, really conjured up some powerful images. Each piece of art brings its own beauty and demonstrates children’s understanding in seeing the positive in such times, such as showing gratitude to doctors and staff on the frontline.

This event, much like Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund’s Give a Child a Chance in Life programme, is designed so that donations made in the auction are shared equally between two parties. 50% of the proceeds from the auction will be used to help disadvantaged children who have a serious malformation and require surgical treatment at FV Hospital, while the remaining 50% is for the child artists.

To support children’s spirit and abilities, and to help disadvantaged, disabled children in treating their conditions, you can purchase art at the auction through two methods:

  • Direct auction: Visit the Lobby of FV Hospital – 06, Nguyen Luong Bang Street, Tan Phu Ward, Phu My Hung, and District 7.
  • Online auction: Please visit the organisation’s fan page (link below) and give comments on the post of the piece of art you would like to purchase. Please include your full name, phone number, and donation for item in VND. Link – https://www.facebook.com/Quytuthien.NangBuocTuoiTho/posts/2725422171115012

► Starting price: 1 million VND for each piece of art.
► Auction time: From July, 6th to September, 6th, 2020.
► Time of the result announcement: September, 9th, 2020.
► Each painting which is auctioned successfully will be sent to the buyer directly in September, 2020.

All paintings included in the “Angels in COVID-19 Epidemic” exhibition are displayed in the lobby of FV Hospital by the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund. Customers and patients can come by to enjoy and participate in the auction at any time of the day.

We would like to thank TinklePainting Art School for supporting the Children of Vietnam Charitable Fund in the organisation of this charity auction and for the passing of the many cute messages from the children.
