P.T.R - FV Hospital

Grandmother P. T. R, 1922, when she was 85 years old, she was seriously ill and the previous Hospital sent her home to wait for her funeral, but when she was brought to FV, the doctors diagnosed her and said she was fine, treated her until she was well and then sent her home. Later, she lived to be 95 years old, so I am very grateful to FV Hospital.

My whole family was treated at FV. – My nephew just had spinal surgery at FV and it went very well, he can walk normally, he had surgery before but was still limping a lot.

Thanks all the doctors and staff, the team at FV is very good. The unit has no suggestions. Please keep it like that so that patients can benefit and have a higher ambition to live.

I first learned about this hospital through the Tuổi Trẻ newspaper, which I read every day. Upon discovering it, I immediately decided to visit. In 2009, I went for a check-up. The hospital staff were very kind, with the doctors and staff working diligently, warmly, and treating patients as if they were family. I personally have used local hospitals many times but on occasion prefer the FV. the Dr I talked to was very good and spoke English well. I am writing to compliment the nurse who helped me on December 6, at 3 PM, at the Dermatology Department at FV in Q7.

During the routine check before my dermatology appointment, she noticed that my blood pressure was high. Instead of just letting it pass, she thoroughly investigated it, checked many times, and asked me to come back to check again after my dermatology appointment. After I came back to her after my appointment, my blood pressure was back down. I tremendously appreciate this nurse’s care and thoroughness, but I don’t know her name. Thank you!

Thanks FV for saving his son’s life. 16-17 years ago, he hit his head hard. I took him to the hospital but they said he was fine and sent him home. But when he got home, his stomach was so tight that he couldn’t eat, he vomited what he ate, and he couldn’t talk. I took him to the hospital for a check-up but they still said he was fine.

When he got home, his stomach was still tight and he couldn’t move anymore. It was the The Hùng Kings’ Temple Festival, so I took him to the emergency room at several hospitals but they didn’t accept him. Finally, I heard that FV was good so he transferred his son to FV where the doctors admitted him and found out that the cause of his illness was a circulatory problem that made him unable to eat, so they gave him an IV.

By evening, his son had recovered. I was very grateful; from then on, all families with illnesses came to FV for check-ups.

During my time at FV Hospital for my left knee replacement surgery, and as I am being discharged today, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the medical staff and all the staff at FV Hospital.

I would like to thank Dr. Lê Trọng Phát for his dedication in performing the surgery, giving me such beautiful legs. I am very satisfied with the results.
Throughout my stay at the hospital, I have received not only medical care but also warmth, compassion, and dedicated attention from the entire medical and hospital staff, truly embodying the saying of President Hồ Chí Minh: “A good doctor is like a mother.”

Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone.

N.V.T - Hy Vong Cancer Centre

In 2012, my father was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer at a hospital and at that time, the leading specialist and the attending doctor in a consultative meeting said that my father could only have an additional 6 months of life after starting treatment (radiation + chemotherapy). I was deeply confused because the doctor did not explain things in detail (I do not blame the doctor because the number of patients was overwhelming, and they were working too many hours, so they could not spend more than 5 minutes with each patient).

My father’s cousin, who has been a nurse for years at FV Hospital, registered for my father to see Dr. Võ Kim Điền. I vividly remember that the consultation fee at FV was 800,000 VND (while at other hospitals it was around 100,000 VND). However, Dr. Điền took great care in examining my father and explained the condition to both of us in detail for nearly two hours. He explained clearly about nasopharyngeal cancer, the treatment chart, which cells would be affected, leading to necrosis at certain areas, and the quality of life after treatment.

At that time, I was 32 years old, specializing in production engineering, but after that two-hour consultation, with the 800,000 VND fee, I felt that I understood nasopharyngeal cancer as if I had read and studied a thesis on the subject by a medical student (a student who had to spend 5 years and over a billion VND to do so).

After the cancer treatment in 2012, my father became as healthy as someone who had never been ill. In 2021, my father had to undergo another life-threatening treatment — COVID-19 (at that time, my father had many chronic illnesses, but his cancer had not recurred after the 2012 treatment).

My father’s underlying conditions when he contracted COVID-19. Once again, FV Hospital helped my father overcome COVID-19.

Though many years have passed, I am deeply grateful and would like to send my thanks to Dr. Võ Kim Điền, Dr. Đại (I remember Dr. Điền instructed the secretary very carefully that Dr. Đại needed to directly perform the nasal endoscopy for my father), the secretary of the Hy Vong Care Cancer Centre and the nurses, especially Nurse Mỹ, for their care. Thank you very much.

I thank all the medical teams who took care of my father and helped him survive COVID-19.
Today, my father is still able to feed himself three meals a day with his own hands and mouth. 12 years is a very long time compared to the 6-month prognosis.
