Iron deficiency anaemia not only causes fatigue, reduced work performance, and a decline in quality of life but, if not detected and treated promptly, can also lead to serious complications affecting women’s health.

The continuous medical training session on “Iron Deficiency Anaemia – Impact on Women’s Health”, presented by Dr Lee Chun Tsu, Consultant Clinical Haematologist at the Centre for Clinical Haematology, Singapore, focuses on this common health issue that is often not given adequate attention in women. This is one of the continuous medical education and knowledge exchange activities between FV Hospital and Thomson Medical Group, marking a significant step in realising the strategy of bringing Singaporean medicine to Vietnam.

Dr Lee Chun Tsu

Speaker Information

Dr Lee Chun Tsu is a Consultant Clinical Haematologist at the Centre for Clinical Haematology, Singapore. He is experienced in caring for a wide range of haematological cancers as well as all benign blood disorders, with a special interest in the management of lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Dr Lee completed his medical degree at the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2010, and subsequently undertook advanced internal medicine and haematology training at the National University Hospital (NUH). At NUH, he was a member of the Adult Cell Therapy Workgroup and was appointed Deputy Medical Director of the NUH Stem Cell Laboratory for the NUHS Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Programme. He also served as Deputy Medical Director of the Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute, Singapore. Dr Lee pioneered the establishment of Clinical Haematology and Transfusion services at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore's inaugural Integrated General Hospital, and holds a position as Assistant Professor within the Department of Medicine at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Bahasa.
