FV Hospital honours 100% of your eligible social health insurance entitlement for outpatient care, inpatient treatment (including oncology, maternity, cardiac intervention and orthopaedics) and emergency care, in accordance with the regulations of Vietnam Social Security.
Social Health Insurance Benefits for Outpatient and Emergency Care

When you receive outpatient or emergency care at FV (including consultations, medical services and prescribed medicines), you are entitled to your full Social Health Insurance benefits if you meet one of the following conditions:

You are receiving emergency care.

You have registered FV as your primary care facility.
If you have registered another healthcare provider as your primary care facility, you may still use your Social Health Insurance at FV if:

You are receiving treatment for a condition included in the list of diseases eligible for treatment at basic-level healthcare facilities, as specified in Appendix 2 of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BYT.

Or You have a valid referral letter. A referral letter is valid for 10 working days from the date of issue and may be used for one consultation. For patients receiving treatment for chronic diseases or long-term conditions (as specified in Appendix III of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BYT), the referral letter remains valid for one year from the date of issue.
From 1 July 2026, if you receive outpatient care at FV without registering FV as your primary care facility or without a valid referral letter, Social Health Insurance will reimburse 50% of your entitlement, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Social Health Insurance Benefits for Inpatient Treatment

FV applies your full Social Health Insurance entitlement to inpatient treatment in accordance with Social Health Insurance reimbursement regulations, helping you maximise your benefits and reduce your treatment costs.
Your Social Health Insurance benefits apply to inpatient treatment when:

The medical services you receive are included in the list of services approved by the Ministry of Health and Vietnam Social Security for reimbursement at FV, and are covered under Social Health Insurance regulations.

The medicines and medical supplies used during your treatment are included in the Social Health Insurance reimbursement list.

Please note that you will be required to settle the difference between the hospital’s fees and the social health insurance reimbursement rate, as well as any costs incurred that fall outside the scope of social health insurance coverage.
Social Health Insurance Benefits for Cancer Care

FV Hospital honours 100% of your eligible social health insurance benefits (within your benefit coverage level) for oncology consultations and treatment.
To access Social Health Insurance for oncology services at FV, you must meet one of the following criteria:

You have registered FV as your primary care facility.

You are receiving treatment for a cancer included in the priority disease list specified in Appendix 2 of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BYT. View the list of covered cancers here.

Hold a valid referral letter

You have a valid referral letter.
Social Health Insurance currently covers most types of cancer. However, whether your benefits apply from your first consultation (when your doctor confirms a cancer diagnosis) or from subsequent consultations and treatment depends on the type of cancer diagnosed. Cancer Medicines and Medical Services Covered by Social Health Insurance
FV Hospital applies social health insurance reimbursement for high-tech medical services and specialised medicines approved for use at the hospital, including:

Comprehensive laboratory tests, histopathology, and diagnostic imaging, including advanced technical services such as CT scans, MRI, and nuclear medicine.

Advanced cancer treatments:Radiotherapy (including the advanced technologies such as VMAT and IMRT)ChemotherapySurgical interventions

Medications: Chemotherapy agents, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy.
