Guide to navigating social health insurance process at FV

A step-by-step guide to using your social health insurance benefits with confidence at FV.

Present your documents at the reception desk

To use your Social Health Insurance, please present one of the following:

Your National ID card with integrated social health insurance information.
Your Level 2 verified VNeID account with integrated social health insurance information.
Your Social Health Insurance card or Social Health Insurance number. (If your Social Health Insurance card does not include a photograph, you will also need to present a valid photo ID.)
For children under 6, please present the original or a copy of the child’s birth certificate if their Social Health Insurance information is not yet available. If a newborn requires immediate treatment before a birth certificate has been issued, a parent or guardian will be asked to sign the medical record for confirmation.

Verify your Social Health Insurance benefits after your consultation or treatment

Once your consultation or treatment has been completed, our Social Health Insurance Specialist will inform you of the amount covered by your Social Health Insurance.
If applicable, you will only need to pay the remaining balance after your Social Health Insurance benefits have been applied.

Combining your healthcare benefits

At FV Hospital, you can combine your Social Health Insurance with your private health insurance and FV Membership benefits to help reduce your medical expenses by up to 90%.

Benefits are applied in the following order:

Social Health Insurance: Your Social Health Insurance will be applied first to cover eligible medical expenses in accordance with the Social Health Insurance regulations.
Private Health Insurance: After your Social Health Insurance has been applied, your private health insurance (Vietnamese or international) will be used to cover the remaining eligible expenses, according to your policy benefits.
FV Membership: If you are an FV Member, your membership benefits will be applied to the remaining balance after both your Social Health Insurance and private health insurance have been processed.
