Admission Process
A guide to the documents and steps required for hospital admission and treatment.
Anaesthesia Consultation
Your anaesthetist will review your medical history, test results, and overall health condition to prepare a personalised and safer anaesthetic plan. The anaesthesia consultation must take place 24-48h before your procedure, depending on your general health condition and on the type of procedure you will undergo.
Benefits of Teleconsultation for Pre-Anaesthetic Assessment

Save Time and Travel
Complete this important pre-operative assessment from the comfort of your home, without multiple hospital visits before surgery.
Shorter Waiting Time, Smoother Same-Day Treatment Experience
Teleconsultation for pre-anaesthetic assessment helps streamline admission and treatment processes at FV, making your same-day care experience faster and more convenient.
What You Should Prepare at Home
Before your procedure or surgery, we recommend that you:
-
Stop smoking and avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before the procedure.
-
Strictly follow your doctor’s instructions, including fasting for at least 6 hours before the procedure if required. Food remaining in the stomach may increase risks during anaesthesia.
-
Arrange for a family member or companion to accompany you back home and support you during the first 24 hours after surgery. Patients are advised not to drive after receiving anaesthesia or sedation.
-
Take a shower at home either the evening before or the morning of your procedure.
-
Avoid wearing make-up or nail polish, as this helps doctors monitor your vital signs more accurately through skin and nail colour.
-
Prepare all necessary documents, including your ID card or passport, insurance card, and any current medications or prescriptions you are using.
