FV celebrates its pharmacy team for World Pharmacists Day 2026

To mark World Pharmacists Day on 25 September, FV Hospital hosted a special appreciation event, attended by the Board of Directors, the Pharmacy Department team, and colleagues from across the hospital.

Recognising the contributions of FV pharmacists

Under the theme “Empowering pharmacists for healthier futures”, World Pharmacists Day 2026 highlights the importance of recognising the role of pharmacists, enabling them to maximise their expertise and contribute to a quality, sustainable and patient-centred healthcare system.

Speaking at the event, Mr Mohd Fazli Shuib, Quality & Risk Management Director and Head of Pharmacy, expressed his gratitude to the pharmacy team, highlighting their team spirit, strong bonds and pride in being part of FV. “FV is a wonderful environment for our pharmacists to grow. Let’s support each other, empower each other and build a better FV together,” said Mr Fazli.

Following the opening remarks, Ms Pham Thi Thanh Mai, Chief Operating Officer, expressed her heartfelt thanks to the entire Pharmacy Department. As she has a daughter who also works in pharmacy, Ms Mai understands the hard work and responsibility that come with the profession. Ms Mai also wished all the pharmacists continued fulfilment and pride in their careers.

“Your work is not easy. FV will always stand by you and provide the facilities, software and necessary conditions for you to do your jobs well. Enjoy today and always be proud of your profession,” shared Ms Mai.

Empowering pharmacists to enhance patient care

At FV, pharmacists do much more than manage medicines; they are a vital part of the patient care team. From ensuring the quality and safety of medicines to collaborating with different specialties throughout the course of treatment, every contribution made by the pharmacy team helps provide safe, effective and individualised care for patients.

Representing the pharmacists, Ms Pham Ngoc Xuan Son, Deputy Head of Pharmacy, shared her joy at celebrating World Pharmacists Day alongside her colleagues at FV. Having taken part in this annual celebration for many years, she thanked the Board of Directors, her colleagues and the entire Pharmacy Department for continuing to make it a special occasion to recognise and honour pharmacy professionals at FV.
