Before Phan Thuc Duy became a doctor, he studied Computer Science and Computer Engineering and earned a Master in Electrical Engineering. This background laid the foundation for his approach to medicine. Training in New York City, often considered the epicenter of psychiatry in the United States, and attending conferences by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Thuc honed his approach to methodically treat psychiatric illnesses. He specializes in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with training in Pediatrics; this strengthen his understanding of how medical illness can contribute to psychiatric illness. This allows Dr. Thuc to see and treat the whole child.
