Hepatitis B Vaccine
The hepatitis B vaccine protects against a viral infection that can cause lifelong liver problems, including cirrhosis and cancer. The full course provides long-term protection and is delivered over three doses.
Recommended For
- Adults aged 19–59 years
- Adults aged 60 years and older with risk factors, or anyone who wishes to be protected
Schedule
- 3-dose series.
Common side-effects
You may experience mild side-effects following vaccination. Most side-effects last no more than a couple of days and are part of the immune system’s natural response to the vaccine.
Common reactions include:
- Pain, swelling and redness at the injection site
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Mild fever
- Muscle, body aches.
