In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s Reunification Day, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has recognised FV Hospital as one of the city’s 50 landmark projects, reflecting the remarkable progress achieved over the past half-century. Located in the heart of Phu My Hung, FV Hospital is a trusted healthcare institution known for its international standards and serves as a symbol of renewal in Southern Saigon.

FV Hospital Named Among Ho Chi Minh City’s Top 50 Landmark Projects
As one of the first private hospitals in Vietnam, FV Hospital was founded on the visionary initiative of ten individuals – nine French doctors and one lawyer – united by a mission to bring world-class medical services to the Vietnamese people. Since officially opening in 2003, FV has continuously evolved, setting new benchmarks in treatment quality, patient care, and modern hospital management.
Over more than two decades, FV Hospital has provided care for over 5 million patient visits, including more than 1 million international patients. Supported by a team of over 1,300 staff – including 236 highly trained doctors – across 36 medical specialties, FV has successfully treated numerous complex cases, earning the trust of both patients and the broader medical community in Vietnam and beyond.

Since 2003, FV Hospital has served over 5 million patients
FV Hospital is the first and only healthcare provider in Southern Vietnam to have earned international JCI accreditations four consecutive times (2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025) – a testament to its unwavering commitment to quality and patient safety. With a strong professional foundation and deep connections to the global medical community, FV is steadily emerging as a leading healthcare hub in the region.

Notably, over the past 20 years, FV has consistently delivered world-class healthcare services at costs roughly half those of comparable international hospitals in the region – making high-quality medical care more accessible to patients in Vietnam.
With its recent integration into Thomson Medical Group – one of Asia’s leading healthcare providers – FV Hospital is poised to expand further, developing advanced treatment centres in oncology, hepatology, gastroenterology, and more. New services such as IVF, dialysis, and bone marrow transplantation are also being introduced, bringing the latest global medical advancements to patients in Vietnam.
Being recognised as one of Ho Chi Minh City’s 50 landmark projects is not only a great honour for the FV Hospital team, but also a milestone that reflects the enduring commitment of a private healthcare institution contributing to the city’s vision of sustainable, humane, and progressive development.
