Dr Manh Hung patiently spent more than two hours talking to the family about the surgery. He told them: “If she doesn’t undergo surgery now, she will be paralysed forever. Doctor Nguyen Manh Hung graduated from the University of Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City in 2005 and completed a Specialisation Degree, Level I, in Neurology, at the same institution in 2012. He has more than 10 years of clinical specialisation in treating head trauma, intracerebral hemorrhaging, stroke and brain tumours, and operating on the spine and peripheral nervous system.
Senior Consultant Tran Quang Vinh, MD, PhD, graduated from the Neurosurgery Department of the University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 1984. Dr Quang Vinh earned a Master’s in Neurosurgery in 2000, a PhD in 2007 and the title of Associate Professor in Neurosurgery in 2016, all from the same institution.
Pain control is one of the strong speciality of FV Hospital. At 2 pm on April 19, FV Hospital has successfully performed its first interventional cardiology surgery.A Filipino patient was hospitalised for pain on the left side of his chest. After conducting an electrocardiogram and cardiac test, FVH’s doctors diagnosed the patient with acute myocardial infarction. This was a very dangerous condition, which has a high mortality rate of 25 per cent to 30 per cent. A team of interventional cardiologists was formed immediately to perform interventional cardiology surgery for the patient.
On April 13th, a ceremony to honor FV’s dedicated staff was held in the Classic Ballroom of MerPerle Crystal Palace in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
