Patient Safety Week 2026 at FV Hospital: Safe care for non-communicable diseases

In response to World Patient Safety Day 2026, launched by the World Health Organization (WHO), FV Hospital is organising Patient Safety Week 2026 from 14 to 18 September 2026, under the theme “Safe care for non-communicable diseases”.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and many other long-term conditions, often require ongoing care. Throughout this journey, patient safety depends not only on medical treatment, but also on recognising abnormal signs early, understanding appropriate care practices and communicating actively with healthcare professionals.

Through Patient Safety Week, FV aims to provide practical information to patients, their families and healthcare staff, while creating an opportunity to discuss key issues that promote safer healthcare delivery.

Programme

Opening Ceremony

Time: 10:00, Monday, 14 September 2026

Location: Indochine Lobby, Ground Floor, V Building, FV Hospital

The opening ceremony includes:

• Welcome flash mob
• Opening remarks by hospital Board of Directors
• Ribbon-cutting ceremony
• Mini-games and interactive activities for patients, their relatives and staff

Three patient safety sharing sessions

Day 01 | Monday, 14 September 2026

FV doctors share practical topics on patient safety.

Day 02 | Wednesday, 16 September 2026

Continued updates and discussions with FV doctors on safe care and treatment.

Day 03 | Thursday, 17 September 2026

Doctors and experts from Emulation Group 13 hospitals share practical experiences and perspectives on patient safety.

Information for attendees

• Each session is limited to 120 seats, with priority given to early registrants.
• In-person attendees will be provided with lunch from 11:30 to 12:00.
• Participants who take part in interactive activities and answer quiz questions correctly will receive souvenirs.
• Topics vary each day; attendees may register for one or more sessions.
