FV Hospital is not only Mr Pham Tan Vinh’s current workplace, but also a place closely tied to the very start of his professional journey. Before becoming a full-time FV employee five years ago, he spent nearly 15 years working with FV as a contractor, directly involved in the construction of F Building and the repair and maintenance of the hospital’s infrastructure.
Being named FV’s Shining Star for November 2025 once again reflects the strong connection Mr Vinh has with FV, following his decision to officially join the “FV family” after the COVID-19 pandemic – a place where he found stability and trust in the quality of patient care. “When you become a full-time staff member, you truly understand the responsibility of a hospital maintenance technician. We must carry out repairs as quickly as possible to ensure appropriate temperature and lighting for doctors to deliver the best care, while causing no disruption to patients,” Mr Vinh shared.
Despite knowing every corner of the building after nearly 20 years of hands-on experience, Mr Vinh’s favourite place at FV remains the central plant room – often regarded as the “brain” of the building. For him, the daily inspection of air-conditioning systems and electrical control panels is not only a duty but also a source of reassurance.
Mr Vinh is not someone who readily expresses his emotions. However, his quiet satisfaction is evident in his daily commitment to ensuring all equipment operates safely, allowing the hospital to run smoothly and supporting effective patient care.
Having come from outdoor construction sites exposed to sun and wind – an environment he once described as one that could “make people rather rough” – Mr Vinh has noticed positive changes in himself since working at FV. The courteous and respectful workplace culture, along with strong support from management, has helped him become calmer and more cheerful. “Working in a hospital every day has also encouraged me to read more about medical knowledge,” he shared with a smile. “It has helped me develop a habit of caring more about my own health and that of my family.”
Mr Vinh’s working principle is simple: always prioritise resolving issues in operating theatres and patient areas first. Although each day presents different challenges, he believes that every task – no matter how small – offers something new to observe and learn. This mindset keeps him motivated, relaxed, and youthful in spirit.
The FV family congratulates Mr Pham Tan Vinh on being named FV’s Shining Star for November 2025. We wish him good health as he continues to contribute meaningful value, ensuring technical safety across the hospital through his quiet yet critically important work in maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
