Enhanced Social Health Insurance benefits at FV Hospital from 1 July 2026
Key updates to Social Health Insurance benefits
From 1 July 2026, the Social Health Insurance policy has been adjusted in line with the new base salary. These changes provide greater financial support, helping patients access high-quality healthcare at more affordable costs.
- Out-of-network outpatient care remains covered: When visiting FV Hospital for out-of-network outpatient care, you will still be reimbursed by the Social Health Insurance fund at 50% of your eligible benefit rate.
- Full waiver of co-payments: The Social Health Insurance will cover 100% of eligible medical costs for any visit where the total eligible medical expense is under 15% of the base salary (VND 379,500).
- Benefits for participants with at least five consecutive years of Social Health Insurance coverage: If you have participated in the Social Health Insurance scheme for 5 consecutive years or more and your total co-payments within the year exceed VND 15,180,000 (equivalent to 6 months’ base salary), the Social Health Insurance will cover 100% of your eligible medical costs for all subsequent visits until 31 December of that year.
- Higher reimbursement cap for medical supplies covered under the Social Health Insurance for each medical service: The maximum coverage for medical supplies used during a single technical service has increased from VND 105,300,000 to VND 113,850,000.
Benefits at FV: This updated policy significantly reduces out-of-pocket expenses for patients undergoing advanced medical procedures at FV, such as knee and hip replacements, cardiovascular interventions (stent placement), laparoscopic surgeries, cancer therapies (chemotherapy and radiotherapy), and many other procedures.
Household Social Health Insurance contributions from 1 July 2026
The Household Social Health Insurance contribution decreases for each additional family member enrolled:
| Member | 12-Month Contribution |
| First member | VND 1.366.200 |
| Second member | VND 956.340 |
| Third member | VND 819.720 |
| Fourth member | VND 683.100 |
| From the fifth member onwards | VND 546.480 |
The more family members join, the lower the rate becomes. This encourages everyone to maintain their Social Health Insurance continuously to protect the whole family’s health.
