Advanced Diagnostic & Treatment Techniques
We offer all modern investigations such as CT coronarography, 3D echocardiography, cardiopulmonary exercise stress test, provide sport medicine expertise, and treat complex conditions
Diagnostic Procedures
Echocardiogram is a diagnostic procedure using high frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to take moving pictures of the heart and its related structures (e.g. valves). The Philips EPIQ CVx ultrasound system is the latest generation of echocardiography system, it brings superb image quality and streamlines evaluation of cardiac function, allowing diagnostic confidence for patients with cardiac conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, coronary disease and heart failure.
Two types of echo can be performed:
-
Transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) where the probe is put on your thorax.
-
Transoesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), a specialised, minimally invasive diagnostic test that uses ultrasound probes passed down the oesophagus to create high-quality, detailed images of the heart’s structure, valves, and chambers. TEE is particularly useful when conventional TTE cannot provide sufficient data to evaluate conditions like valve disease, blood clots, or aortic aneurysms.

Specialized Interventions
-
Closure of abnormal heart shunts using occluder devices
-
Inferior vena cava filter placement to prevent clots
-
Pulmonary artery thrombectomy for blood clot removal
-
Left atrial appendage closure to prevent stroke
-
Renal sympathetic nerve ablation for high blood pressure
