The Penumbra™ System is an advanced mechanical thrombectomy device designed to remove blood clots during endovascular procedures. It enables rapid and effective clot removal in selected patients with acute arterial or venous occlusion, helping restore blood flow while preserving organ and limb function. As part of FV Hospital’s comprehensive endovascular programme, the Penumbra™ System expands treatment options for complex thrombotic disease.

The Cathlab at FV Hospital is the centre for advanced endovascular procedures, supporting the treatment of arterial occlusive disease, aortic aneurysms, vascular thrombosis, venous disorders and vascular malformations.

Equipped with the Philips Allura Xper FD20 Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) system, the Cathlab provides high-quality imaging of the heart, brain and peripheral vascular system. Its advanced imaging capabilities, including CT-like 3D visualisation, enable our specialists to perform complex vascular interventions with greater precision while reducing radiation exposure for both patients and clinicians.

FV Hospital is the first hospital in Vietnam to introduce the Angiodroid CO₂ Angiography System for vascular imaging and endovascular intervention. Using medical-grade carbon dioxide (CO₂) instead of conventional iodine-based contrast media, the system produces high-quality vascular images while helping protect kidney function and providing a safe alternative for patients with contrast media allergy.

Widely adopted by leading vascular centres around the world, Angiodroid expands treatment opportunities for patients who may not be suitable for conventional contrast-enhanced angiography, while enhancing the safety of complex endovascular procedures.
