FV’s Shining Star for October 2025 is proudly awarded to Ms Huynh Cam Tu, an Anaesthesia Nurse from the Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care, whose dedication is reflected through quiet perseverance and genuine care. Having joined the FV family in July 2017, she has devoted eight years of steady commitment to the operating theatre – an environment that demands constant focus and precision.
Naturally reserved and introspective, Ms Tu expresses her dedication through meticulous practice, accuracy, and a strong willingness to learn. Recalling her early days at FV, she shared: “At first, I was quite anxious. Everything at FV was new to me. Previously, I had only learned things in theory, but here I experienced real clinical practice.”
It took her more than a year to fully adapt, but with the close guidance of senior doctors and supportive colleagues, Ms Tu gradually overcame her initial hesitation. From uncertainty, she steadily gained confidence, mastering her professional skills and becoming an integral member of the operating room team.
In a working environment where faces are hidden behind surgical masks, Ms Cam Tu always strives to provide patients with reassurance through her gentle manner. “I build trust through my words – by comforting and encouraging patients,” she said. “Before performing any procedure, I explain everything carefully so they feel less anxious and more confident.”
One of her most memorable moments during her eight years at FV was assisting in the surgery of a patient with brain metastases who unexpectedly experienced a seizure just before the procedure. Thanks to thorough preparation and seamless coordination with the medical team, the situation was managed promptly and safely. “The patient said it was probably the most comfortable seizure episode she had ever experienced,” Ms Tu recalled. “That made me value my work even more.”
For Ms Cam Tu, FV is not only a workplace but also a place that has witnessed her personal growth – from her early professional years to starting a family. Her joy became even more complete when both of her children were born at the very hospital she has devoted herself to.
When asked about the secret to earning her colleagues’ trust, she smiled modestly: “I think I’m simply hardworking. My principle is to be genuine, work honestly, and always complete my responsibilities to the best of my ability.”
The FV family warmly congratulates Ms Huynh Cam Tu on being named FV’s Shining Star of October 2025. Her work may be quiet, but it is driven by a deep passion for her profession – one that we hope will continue to accompany her on the journey ahead.
