Pain Management – A Foundation of Modern Medical Care
In modern medicine, pain management is no longer merely symptom control, but a core determinant of treatment outcomes and the overall quality of patient care. Effective pain control enables earlier mobilisation, faster recovery, reduced postoperative complications, and significantly improves patients’ treatment experience and quality of life.
Regional anaesthesia has increasingly demonstrated its vital role as a safe, effective and highly individualised approach to pain control. Its application helps reduce the use of systemic analgesics, particularly opioids, thereby minimising adverse effects and complication risks, while supporting early and sustainable recovery.
Especially in specialties such as surgery, obstetrics, orthopaedics and chronic pain management, regional anaesthesia and multimodal pain management strategies play a central role in patient-centred care, where safety, comfort and humanistic values are prioritised.
Practical Scientific Content Closely Aligned with Clinical Practice
At the FV Hospital site, the symposium will focus on highly practical topics relevant to daily clinical practice, including:
- Neuropathic pain and interventional pain management
- Nerve blocks in orthopaedic surgery and joint replacement
- Postoperative pain control in urology
- Pain management in spinal disorders
- The role of regional anaesthesia in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programmes
Scientific sessions and discussions will be delivered by FV Hospital’s Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Management team, together with leading experts from hospitals and medical universities nationwide, offering updated, multidisciplinary and practice-oriented perspectives.
Target Participants
The symposium is intended for:
- Anaesthesiologists and critical care physicians
- Surgeons, obstetricians, orthopaedic surgeons and physicians
- Nurses and healthcare professionals with an interest in pain management and patient care
Through its participation as a co-organiser, FV Hospital continues to reaffirm its commitment to sustainable medical development by:
- Continuously updating and applying advanced regional anaesthesia and pain control techniques
- Promoting continuing medical education and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals
- Striving towards safe pain relief, optimal recovery and comprehensive patient-centred care
FV Hospital cordially invites doctors and healthcare professionals to register and attend the symposium, to exchange experience and update best practices in regional anaesthesia and pain management, with the shared goal of optimising treatment outcomes and patient care.
