On May 12, FVH hosted a press conference to announce the relaunch of the Children of Vietnam Foundation, a charitable foundation first established in 2006 sponsored by FV Hospital and Thanh Nien Newspaper. Its purpose was to provide treatment for children and Vietnamese teenagers aged under 16 years from disadvantaged background.

FV Hospital hosts a monthly seminar on common diseases featuring FV specialists as speakers. This month’s seminar focused on cardiovascular diseases and related topics, including myocardial infarction, common cardiac arrhythmia symptoms and high blood pressure.
Dr Manh Hung patiently spent more than two hours talking to the family about the surgery. He told them: “If she doesn’t undergo surgery now, she will be paralysed forever. Additionally, long-term urinary retention will lead to chronic kidney disease and become more and more serious.” After listening to Dr Hung’s explanation, Ms. H’s family agreed that she have the operation.
Doctor Nguyen Manh Hung graduated from the University of Medicine in Ho Chi Minh City in 2005 and completed a Specialisation Degree, Level I, in Neurology, at the same institution in 2012. He has more than 10 years of clinical specialisation in treating head trauma, intracerebral hemorrhaging, stroke and brain tumours, and operating on the spine and peripheral nervous system.
Senior Consultant Tran Quang Vinh, MD, PhD, graduated from the Neurosurgery Department of the University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 1984. Dr Quang Vinh earned a Master’s in Neurosurgery in 2000, a PhD in 2007 and the title of Associate Professor in Neurosurgery in 2016, all from the same institution.
