
With the aim of raising awareness of the importance of nutrition in patient safety, in supporting Malnutrition Awareness Week 2026, launched by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), FV Hospital will organise a series of professional and community events on September 2026, under the theme:
“Clinical nutrition & patient safety: From malnutrition prevention to multidisciplinary obesity management”
The event series includes:
1. Workshop “Patient safety starts with nutrition”
- Expected time: 12:00–14:00, 15 September 2026
- Venue: Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Building F, FV Hospital
- The workshop is expected to bring together guest experts and FV Hospital dietitians. The programme will focus on the role of nutrition in patient safety, including FV’s digital clinical nutrition process, the development of therapeutic menus based on medical requirements, and updates on the role of essential micronutrients such as selenium and vitamin D in patient care.
2. Cooking contest and Food fair
- Cooking contest: 14:00 – 17:00, 17 Sep 2026 at FV Bistro, 1st Floor, Building F. Teams from Health Department Emulation Group 13 will prepare therapeutic meals.
- Food fair: 11:00 – 13:30, 18 Sep 2026 at the Terrace, 3rd Floor, Building F
- Note: As the number of slots for the Cooking Contest and Food Fair is limited, priority will be given to those who register early. After completing the registration form, the Organising Committee will send a confirmation email to confirm your successful registration.
In particular, the 2026 food contest will bring together representatives from hospitals belonging to Health Department Emulation Group 13 in the Ho Chi Minh City area. Participants will demonstrate their ability to plan and prepare meals tailored to different medical conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease and kidney disease, as well as meals for older adults, children and patients recovering from surgery.
3. Medical symposium: Multisystem obesity management
- Time: 12:00–17:30, Saturday, 26 September 2026
- Venue: Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Building F, FV Hospital

The symposium will bring together specialists from Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Surgery, Robotic Surgery and Clinical Nutrition to share the latest multidisciplinary approaches to obesity management.
Through this series of activities, FV Hospital aims to raise awareness of malnutrition and the role of clinical nutrition, promoting a more comprehensive approach to healthcare in which nutrition is recognised as an integral part of treatment and patient safety.
